Shoreditch offices tend to be older buildings doing a new job — converted warehouses, old print works, exposed brick and pipework left visible on purpose. Floors are often uneven, staircases narrow, and there's rarely a spare meeting room going begging. Open plan usually is the room, which means the first job on arrival is agreeing which corner gets cleared for an hour.

The culture is genuinely more relaxed than the City or the Wharf — first names, casual dress, dogs under desks — but the deadline pressure underneath it is just as real, sometimes more so, given how many small agencies and studios are running lean with tight client turnarounds. Teams here are often fifteen to forty people, small enough that a session is a whole-team thing rather than whoever happens to be free.

That size changes the format too: shorter sessions work well, a Friday afternoon slot is popular, and because a small team can't all disappear from their desks at once, chair-based options tend to get more use here than in bigger offices where a full class can simply be timetabled in. Nobody's precious about being seen to try something new — mixed ability is the norm because there usually isn't a big enough group to split by experience anyway.
