Inside the Wharf's tower estates

Corporate Yoga in Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf is its own self-contained estate, run through building management and booking systems rather than a quick word at someone's desk. We work with that system directly, often using a wellness room the tower already has.

Working here

Canary Wharf is its own small world — you can arrive by Tube or DLR, work all day, eat lunch and leave again without ever going above ground level or outside the estate. The towers are big, the floors are bigger, and everything from deliveries to visitor passes runs through the building's own management rather than the tenant directly. It changes how a session gets organised: less a quick word with someone at their desk, more a booking that goes through the right channel first.

The upside is that a lot of the newer towers were built with somewhere decent to hold a session already in mind — a wellness room, a quiet room, sometimes a proper studio space tucked away from the main floor. Where that doesn't exist, a breakout area with the chairs stacked to one side does the job just as well. Either way, floor sizes here mean group numbers can run larger than almost anywhere else we work.

People on the estate are often several floors and several lifts away from daylight for most of the day, back to back in meetings that run into each other. A session breaks that up properly rather than just moving the same conversation somewhere else, which seems to matter more here than in smaller offices where at least a walk to another room is possible.

How we cover Canary Wharf

We work directly with building management or the office's facilities team to get access sorted — photo ID lists arranged ahead of time, timing checked against the tower's own lift and lunch patterns so a session isn't fighting the 12:30 rush. Kit fits through security in a single bag, and where a wellness room already exists we simply use it.
