The intellect is a powerful tool. Whilst a lot of people learn through physical practices, many people favour developing an understanding of concepts and ideas, realising their worth and then applying them through practice.
Holistic Education also fills a gap in our lifestyle education that generally isn’t catered to in our formal education, looking at the principles of being a healthy human being, and understanding some of the inherent stress factors of a modern urban environment and corporate workplace.
The Power of Understanding and Realisation
A great deal of what we learn in life and hold in our mind is abstract information, that doesn’t necessarily hold any emotional relevance to us or our personal development.
Wellness education connects to a much deeper place in our minds which concerns our quality of life, right here right now. When we are presented with information which supports our human experience in this way it generates moments of understanding on a deep level of our perception.
These moments tie together our subconscious awareness that we need help with something, with our conscious mind which now realises why, and thus we have realisations of how we can move forward in our lives and identify root causes of imbalance in our life.
Workshops cover a broad range of subjects from the basic fundamentals of understanding our human experience here on Earth and the human ‘energetic anatomy’ to our relationship and influences of our environment on our health through to practical help with diet and lifestyle choices.
The Body-mind connection: Understanding the relationship of our thoughts and feelings to the physiology of the body.
Meditation & The Body-mind connection: As above but including a meditation component of observing ones own thoughts and mapping them out as to their physiological origin.
Principles of Yoga and Meditation: An accessible look at the principles behind yoga and meditation and how they can benefit your daily life.
Eating and Digestion: There is a lot of information out there telling you what to eat, but it’s equally as important to generate awareness of how your individual digestive processes work, as this is often as big an issue in health as what we are actually consuming,
Life Purpose, Internal and External Health Factors and The Forces of Nature: Learning about the impact on your Physiology of being passionate about your occupations. Understanding the importance of looking after your body, mind and emotions (your internal health) and also the impact of your environment on you (your external health).
Understanding Relationship Dynamics: Using either the Chakra model or 5 Elements.
Modern Day Urban and Corporate Stress Factors: Effect of the urban environment and benefits of nature, sleep patterns, air conditioning and lack of natural light, effects on the circadian rhythm of being sedentary, effect of being in front of a screen for prolonged periods. The 24/7 communication culture.
Experiential and Bespoke workshops: I can also build bespoke workshops as necessary, and incorporate experiential relaxation exercises such as mindfulness, meditation and deep relaxation.
